Kariba Dam
The Kariba Dam is a double-curvature concrete arch dam located in the Kariba Gorge on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Completed in 1959, it stands 128 meters tall and stretches 579 meters in length. The dam creates Lake Kariba, one of the world's largest man-made reservoirs, which supplies hydroelectric power to both countries. It plays a crucial role in energy generation, tourism, and local ecosystems
