Its Mission is to develop, coordinate and monitor implementation of policies and programmes for environment, tourism, climate and meteorology that promote sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry has four operational departments namely, Tourism Development and Promotion, Environment and Natural Resource Management, Climate Change Management and the Metrological Services Department. It also has under its purview 4 Parastatals and 2 State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), namely Environmental Management Agency (EMA),\u00a0 Forestry Commission, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZIMPARKS), Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), Allied Timbers and Mosi-Oa-Tunya Development Company, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry has a key part to play in the realization of a Prosperous and Empowered Upper Middle Income Society by 2030. As a sector, it is charged with Environmental protection, climate resilience and sustainable natural resource utilization.
